Final Essay

Paragraph 1- I would describe South Central today as loud and dangerous.It also has people who dress like they weren’t taught well.But South Central can be a good city as well.When you go to school in South Central you can get a good education.South Central has good food,barbershops,hair salons, and many more.But most of all it’s a good city because you have your friends and family.

Paragraph 2-The first event that has made South Central what it is today was the Watts Riots.The Watts Riots started when a man named Marquette Frye.Frye was arrested fro his reckless driving.When the police officer arrested Marquette, Ronald, and their mother the crowd got angry and one person from the crowd spit on the police officer and he was arrested as well.This is important because this is why the Watts Riots happened.

Paragraph 3-The second event that has made South Central what it is today was the LA Riots.The LA Riots started when Rodney King was brutally beaten by police officers and were found “not guilty.”It also started when Latasha Harlins, a 15 year old girl was shot in the head by a woman named Soon Ja Du.Du was not incarcerated, instead she was put on probation and had to pay a fine of $500.While the LA Riots were going on a truck driver named Reginald Denny was hit in the head with a piece of concrete by a man named Damien Williams.

Paragraph 4-ow did crack cocaine become so popular that it led to an epidemic, and who brought it to South Central? The story begins in the early 1900s in Nicaragua, a country in Central America. In this country, the US took complete military control because they wanted to control the farm land. The Nicaraguans revolted against this, and were led by Augusto Cesar Sandino. He led the country briefly, but was overthrown in a coup d’etat by Anastasio Somoza. Somoza ruled the country through the military and the people did not have very many rights. He gained control in the 1930s. Nearly 40 years later, in 1979, the people revolted against Somoza. The main group that led the revolt were called the Sandinistas. They were named after Sandino. They were also communist, and this worried the US because they did not want to lose money that they put in to building up Nicaragua. So the US started to give money to some Nicaraguans to fights the communist Sandinistas, starting a civil war in Nicaragua. This led to many Nicaraguans coming to the US. The only problem was that the US did not have enough money to put aside for just Nicaragua. The US, led by Ronald Reagan, found a solution.

Paragraph 5-The three events that I just explained in the paragraphs above happened all in South Central.The first event talks about how Marquette Frye, Ronald, and Mrs. Frye were arrested for no reason.The second event was about three people and their names were Rodney King, Latasha Harlins, and Reginald Denny.Rodney King was brutally beaten.Latasha Harlins was shot by the store owner’s sister Soon Ja Du.She was shot because Du thought that Latasha was stealing some orange juice.Finally Reginald Denny was hit upside his head with a piece of concrete by a man named Damien Williams.South Central will change in the future because all of this stuff that happened to these people will not happen again. I HOPE!!!

One thing that makes a good website is that is tells you a lot of information.One thing is the information you need.Another thing is that you can go to your favorite websites.Lastly the third thing is that it’s fun.Something that makes a bad websites re the websites young people go 2.One thing that is bad are the adult websites.One thing I will try to make my website good is to make everyone like it.

How did you do on this quarter? I did good on this quarter because it’s a good class.

Did you do your best at all times? Yes I did my very best everyday and at all times.

What classes are you having trouble in? I am having trouble in my Spanish class. Why? I am having trouble because she is not teaching me much.

What can you do to keep doing well or improve for next quarter? The thing I can do is to continue to complete my work and continue to keep an A in the class.
